Another year, another challenge. And this time with three new contestants: Maxwell, Bridges and Maclean. Many keen golfing fans will already have heard the alarming news of Doctor Golf's tragic arm fracture only days before the Dudley Open 2001. Fortunately the young amateur Chris Maclean, the great all-rounder equally at home on the squash or tennis court, managed to step in at the eleventh hour to take the Doc's place. So we were guaranteed an exciting tournament, with three groups of three players contesting the championship over three rounds at Crail, Balcomie and Leven Links on the beautiful coastline of Fife.
